When Alex Grossman III, an international toy magnate, learns that Santa Claus is returning to the world stage after a break of many years he is more than concerned. When Grossman learns that Santa is intending to give every child in the world a free teddy bear to mark his return, something must be done. He enlists the help of the well-read hoodlum, Don Biblioni, along with his gang, to kidnap Santa from a local shopping centre. Unknown to the gangsters, a group of intrepid children witness the kidnapping and, along with the rest of their family, launch a brave and fearless rescue involving some cunning disguises, an octopus and a number 42 bus.
